Competition No.5

2010-11 Mixed 4 Bowl Pairs 

This years Mixed 4 Bowl Pairs Championship will take a new format.

The start date for the competition is 17th May, 2010, with all ties to be completed by 27th February, 2011, and the Final scheduled for March 2011. The rules for the new format are as follows:

1. Teams on one lady, one gent, playing four bowls each. Section games 15 ends, Final 18 ends.

2. Dead ends to be replayed according to World Bowls Laws.

3. One trial end in each direction. Skips to toss for jack.

4. Each pair in Section 1 to play all other teams in that Section. Games to be arranged to suit both teams on mutually agreed dates and times, as there are no challengers in this format. Section 2 likewise. Games should be spread out and not left until the last few weeks, making it difficult to complete them on time. Competitors, who are permanently in Cyprus should endeavour to play at least one game per month.

6. Two points will be awarded to the winner of each game, and one point for a draw. In the event of a tie in the Section, shot difference will come into play. The winners of Section 1 and Section 2 will play a final game for the Club Championship.

7. The completed, signed and timed scorecards to be left in the mail box in the club house.

8. In addition, please make Peter Milligan aware of the result of all ties played in order that the web site can be as up to date as possible.

9. Games to be played in Whites.

10. Tables shown below are an indication of progress, however final results will be those published by Sheila at the end of sectional play.
